Our conference is now open for registration! Join us at #PRS2024
This year we head to Bournemouth for an exciting line-up of speakers and presenters to inspire and educate our delegates!
Our theme this year is 'Pathways to successful research' on Friday 12th April, and we hope that the research journeys and opportunities shared at this event will encourage you in your future career, and provide a valuable insight into the possibilities for getting more research active.
Promoting Research Engagement and Skills for Students (PRESS Project)
The PRS will now be undertaking a project to support physiotherapy students in getting more research active!
The PRESS project aims to increase student involvement in research through a variety of different methods, including bursaries, focus groups, and the provision of a range of educational resources.
Dr Ali Aries, Chair, and Caroline Coulthard, Vice Chair of the PRS, will be speaking at the Student CSP conference at their London base on Tuesday 24th October 2023.
They will be sharing insights about careers in physiotherapy research, sharing what PRS membership has to offer, and highlighting the upcoming PRESS project, a PRS project designed to support students in sharing their research!
Routes into Research - A PRS and CAHPR NE Hub Collaboration
PRS joined the North East Hub of the Council of Allied Health Professions Research (CAHPR)
Two of our Executive Committee members were invited by the NE CAHPR Hub to join a panel of researchers to discuss their own personal journeys into research.
'Keeping up to date with the best evidence' - a collaborative webinar with the CSP
One of our Student Executive Officers, Bianca Hall, was invited to take part in this online webinar hosted by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Bianca was joined by Dr Gabrielle Rankin (CSP Research Advisor), Dr Jonathan Quicke (CSP Research Advisor), Carl Banks (CSP eLibrary, Information and Research Officer) Matt Low (Consultant Physiotherapist and Visiting Fellow at Bournemouth University), and Kay Stevensen (Consultant Physiotherapist and Senior Knowledge Mobilisation Fellow).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two students to join the Physiotherapy Research Society as a Student Executive Committee Officer!
We are opening applications for our second cohort of students to join our committee. Please read full article for further details and find out how to apply.
