Routes into Research - A PRS and CAHPR NE Hub Collaboration

PRS joined the North East Hub of the Council of Allied Health Professions Research (CAHPR)

Two of our Executive Committee members were invited by the NE CAHPR Hub to join a panel of researchers to discuss their own personal journeys into research.

The presenters on the CAPHR Webinar introducing the webinar

Dr Bruno Mazuquin and Dr Joe McVeigh of the Physiotherapy Research Society, took part in this event alongside another fellow researcher, Sarah Oatway from Teeside University.

The online event took place on the 11th September and was chaired by Dr Jagjit Mankelow and Dr Andrew Graham of the NE CAHPR Hub.

Dr Bruno Mazuquin described the event: "We gave an overview of our careers as academics/researchers; how we started in research to what we are up to now. We also discussed some opportunities for clinicians to start their research careers if that’s what they are planning or if they have no idea where to start. Questions from one of the attendees generated a healthy discussion."
