Conference abstracts

This in-person event was hosted at Manchester Metropolitan University on Friday 21st April 2023, and PRS Executive Committee member Bruno Mazuquin organised the event. 

We welcomed Dr Gillian Yeowell, Professor Louise Connell, Professor Cormac Ryan, and Professor Krysia Dziedzic to our 41st

This was the first hybrid event organised and hosted by the PRS. The event was held at the University of Kent, Canterbury Campus.

We were joined by Dr Dani Maki, Anju Jaggi, Professor David Keane and Dr David Stephensen as our keynote speakers

This conference was held as a fully online event and was organised by Dr Ali Aries, Senior Lecturer at Keele University. The PRS adapted quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic and managed to organise and host this event with the support of Keele University. 

We were hosted by London South Bank University with Michael Mansfield taking a lead on organising this event in 2019. We were joined by Professor Mick Thacker and Professor Ann Moore as our keynote speakers.

We welcomed Dr Gabor Barton, Dr Janet Bultitude and Professor Ann Moore as our keynote speakers for this conference.

The presentation describes what Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is and gives the case for why it is possible that changes in the brain cause the pain and swelling seen in this syndrome (as opposed to assuming that pain has caused a change in perception).
