Caroline has a vast amount of experience working as an Advanced Practitioner in the NHS setting. Her primary clinical interests are Upper Limb disorders, Rheumatology, Widespread Pain conditions and biopsychosocial management.

Caroline a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) and is also Portfolio Route Lead of the MACP. She joined the MACP through completing an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy, from which her dissertation on the Management of Atraumatic Shoulder Instability received the both the MACP’s Student Research Award and MSc/PGDip Award.

Caroline's dissertation project was subsequently presented as a poster at the World Physiotherapy Congress and was published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Caroline has an interest in service development and quality improvement led various successful projects within the NHS to improve efficiencies and optimise quality care. Caroline has have also led in the promotion of broader research activities and an innovation culture within her Trust. This has included building links with consultants and the wider service, including on the ARTISAN trial.

Caroline recently undertook a lead in training First Contact Practitioners for their Accreditation, she is Chair of the PRS, having previously been Vice Chair for four years, and additionally served as Publicity Officer. Due to her interest in upper limb disorders and research, she holds a position on the Scientific Committee of the European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitatio (EnUSSER).
