I am a physiotherapist by background trained in Brazil and complete my PhD in the UK in 2018.
I am a Research Fellow at the Department of Health Professions, Manchester Metropolitan University.
My main areas of research is musculoskeletal rehabilitation and implementation research. I explore the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions to help patients with musculoskeletal problems and optimising the transition of knowledge from research to clinical practice.
I have experience with a range of research designs and publishing in highly ranked journals including the BMJ and BJSM. I have contributed to £1.7 million in NIHR research grant capture and have been a team member of studies funded by the NIHR Health Technology Assessment programme.
In addition to the Physiotherapy Research Society Executive committee, I am a member of the editorial board of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy and the Brazilian Journal of Cancerology.
